BioGuard's SoftSwim® Program
Imagine pool water that's incredibly soft and gentle on hair, skin and eyes. SoftSwim® is a non-chlorine program that's easy as A, B, C: SoftSwim A (an algicide), SoftSwim B (a sanitizer) and SoftSwim C (a clarifier), to be exact. The products are liquid so application is a breeze—no mixing or pre-dissolving!
Who should use this program?
Whether you've got an in-ground or above ground pool, using the SoftSwim® system couldn't get any easier. Pools with the following are perfect for the SoftSwim® Program:
- Excellent circulation, utilizing a sand filter.
- Up to 25,000 gallons.
- A pool pump that operates at least 12 hours per day.
- Pool has a bottom drain.
- Any surface type, but highly recommended for vinyl-lined pools.
STEP 1: Prevent Algae Growth
Get things started with SoftSwim A. The fact is, using an effective algicide is an important first step in your pool care regimen for inhibiting and controlling the growth of algae. And that's exactly what the patented formula in SoftSwim A will do for your water. All you have to do is add it to your pool every two weeks to keep algae in check. Not only will it stand up to direct sunlight without evaporating, it actually works harder in high temperatures. Better still, it supports the effectiveness of other SoftSwim products when used on a regular basis.
FREQUENCY: Every two weeks

STEP 2: Sanitize Pool Water
SoftSwim B, our gentle, non-chlorine sanitizer, does a wonderful job of controlling bacteria levels. This is a step you don't want to miss when keeping your pool primed for good times in the sun. SoftSwim B stops the spread of disease via pool water by effectively killing and controlling bacteria with the power of biguanide—the key ingredient that makes this program so different than chlorine-based sanitizers. And no chlorine means you get water that's gentle on eyes, skin and hair. Plus, you won't need any stabilizers with SoftSwim B since it already comes UV-protected.
FREQUENCY: As needed to maintain 30 to 50 ppm

STEP 3: Keep Water Clear
Use SoftSwim C on a monthly basis to maintain clarity. Our powerful clarifier and oxidizer helps you keep the sparkle in your water longer by removing contaminants that can cause cloudiness. Formulated to last 30% longer in the water (a real money-saver), SoftSwim C actually clears your pool water by eliminating body oils, perspiration and other undesirable contaminants that can affect clarity and sparkle. What's more, a built-in stabilizer ensures that SoftSwim C's dual action chemicals won't burn off easily in hot weather.
FREQUENCY: Once a month or asa needed to maintain 20 to 60 ppm

Finalize with SoftSwim Assist*
Add Assist every two weeks to fortify the program. The only product of its kind for biguanide systems, Assist prevents pink slime and water mold from forming in your non-chlorine pool. It works its magic by attacking the problem right at the source—your plumbing and filtration system. Simply put, it's the smartest way to guarantee that your biguanide-based pool stays crystal clear by letting SoftSwim C work better.
